Fleur of England

Moving on from my time at Coco de Mer, I was offered the role of Social Media and PR Junior Executive at Fleur of England. Another role which gave me huge opportunities to learn and grow.

In my time with the brand I have written my first press release, further added to my experience writing product copy as well as copy for social media, and have also been able to apply myself to the writing varied blogs for the brand. I have also gained experience liaising with influencers, organising sample sales and online events, and creating further visual content for social media and web use.

Since starting with the brand we have seen a leap in views of the blog, growth of followers across all platforms, and have exceeded financial targets for the quarter despite the challenges that e-commerce has faced with the continuous changes to lockdown restrictions and rules.

While this role provided creative freedom, independence, and challenge- the location of the role was detrimental to work-life balance and so was not a good fit.

Throughout the past year, Fleur of England has remained committed to continuing their work to create beautiful pieces of luxury lingerie and nightwear. Pursuing their mission of empowering women to feel exquisitely confident and celebrating the female form in all its diverse beauty despite it being a difficult year for most.

The three new collections for AW21 are particularly special to Founder and Creative Director Fleur Christacos, as well as the brand as a whole, as they are designed to embody a celebration of 20 years of Fleur of England. With the 20th Anniversary in mind, the collections are emotionally driven and from the heart, all designed by hand in Fleur of England’s Bristol studio.

The collections show not only thoughtful reminiscence of the heritage and journey of the brand, but also mark a new era for the label as it embarks on the next 20 years with a carefully considered purpose and goals to champion a more confident and conscious world with empowered femininity and sustainability at its heart.

The inspirations for the three new collections are extraordinarilly personal to Fleur with Adeline being inspired by her childhood love of the circus and it’s vibrancy and wonder, Marlena being inspired by the beauty and power of aerial performers, and Kittie being inspired by her life long companionship with felines.

All collections are designed in England and made at a small family-owned factory in Portugal which upholds only the highest ethical standards and worker welfare policies.
The brand is meticulous in using only the finest quality fabrics, consciously sourcing each element to ensure minimal impact on people and planet. Passionate about slow fashion, each piece is designed to be treasured and stand the test of time. This effort has been recognised with the brand being awarded of the Positive Luxury Butterfly Mark, a third-party accreditation given to brands that demonstrate a positive social and environmental impact.

As Fleur of England begins the next 20 years of their journey, you are invited to celebrate the 20 years of work that have gone into the award winning and ever evolving brand while also joining in their vision for the future- one that uplifts the divine feminine and sustainably creates beautiful lingerie that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
